Albizia tanganyicensis is one of the most attractive
of South Africa’s xerophytic trees. This group of
Albizias was photographed near Lephalele in
Limpopo Province late in the winter shortly before
the emergence of the flower buds which adorn the
leafless branches in the early spring. Seeds of this
species are supplied by Penrock Seeds.

Cyrtanthus erubescens is one of South Africa’s most impressive bulbous plants. The dusky pink flowers appear in the early spring before the leaves.
This rare species is endemic to a small area high up in the mountains of the north central Drakensberg of Kwazulu Natal.
A limited number of young bulbs will be available through Penrock Plants as from April 2006.

PENROC PLANTS

Penrock Plants is run by means of a retail and wholesale plant list. These lists are updated as new stocks become available in the nursery. The listings feature a range of bulbs and caudiciforms as well as some succulent genera.
Amongst the specialities of the business are bulbs in various Amaryllid genera. The nursery also stocks a good range of species in various genera of the Hyacinthaceae.

SERVICES PROVIDED AND CONTACT DETAILS
Plants are sold in retail and wholesale quantities. Retail orders are mostly for collectors and others who require smaller numbers of plants. Wholesale orders are mainly for the nursery trade or people needing large numbers of particular species.

RETAIL ORDERS

Plants are sold retail throughout the year but some are only available at certain times. These details are discussed in detail in the introductory section to the retail plant list.

WHOLESALE ORDERS
Wholesale orders are sent throughout the year but there are some exceptions particularly plants from the winter rainfall region of South Africa. Wherever possible it is best for retail quantities of different species to be ordered in advance of the required delivery date as stocks in the nursery vary from one month to the next.

PROCEDURE FOR REQUESTING THE PLANT LISTS

People who are considering ordering plants should indicate if they require the retail or wholesale plant list. Please also let us know the country in which you reside, as this will determin the currency in which prices will appear on the list we send to you. In some cases, where there are only small numbers of plants in the nursery, they will only appear on the retail list.
Plant lists are preferably emailed but may also be faxed or airmailed. If you would like us to fax you a list please be sure to supply us with the full fax number including international dialling codes. Should you require a list to be airmailed please supply your full postal address including postal codes.
